Senior Adviser

Mr Sim is our Senior Adviser and the founder of our Group. Having founded the Group, he has been instrumental in setting up and expanding its business network. Mr Sim has extensive knowledge and more than 40 years of experience in the shipbuilding, ship repair and ship maintenance industry. Mr Sim began his career at Jurong Shipyard Ltd. as a machinist, and later as a foreman at various engineering companies engaged in the manufacturing of piston, propellers and ship repairs. In 1981, Mr Sim set up Mencast Engineering Company to make marine propellers; the company has since been de-registered.

Mr Sim has stepped down as the Executive Chairman and Director of the Group as of 9 October 2009 but has agreed to stay on as our Senior Adviser and continue to contribute his considerable experience and expertise to the Group.
